A New Look for Essential Baking’s Gluten Free Packaging
Introducing our official packaging for our gluten free bread line! It’s in and will replace the temporary stickers you are used to seeing. Look for it in stores now!
Try Super Seeded Multigrain, Sunny Seeded White, and Seeded Cinnamon Raisin and let us know if you find it, where, and what you think.
Check out our video on our gluten free bread:
Our Gluten Free Sunny Seeded White, Super Seeded Multi-Grain, and Seeded Cinnamon Raisin breads and rolls are now available at PCC, Town and Country, Metropolitan Markets, Fred Meyer, Costco, as well as our very own Essential Baking Cafes and other fine stores and restaurants. We are so excited and we hope you are too.
Hello is your super seeded multi-grain wheat free? I have a bad case of eczema and am in the process of changing my diet completely. I’m struggling with learning if gluten free also means is wheat free! Please help!
Yes, our Super Seeded Multigrain is wheat free as well as gluten, dairy, soy, and nut free. It’s made in a dedicated gluten, dairy, soy, and nut free facility. Gluten Free always means wheat free, however wheat free does not always mean something is gluten free. Gluten free means the product does not contain the protein, gluten, that is found it wheat, rye, barley and oats (cross contamination in fields). A food labeled as “wheat-free” still can contain ingredients derived from those grains.
You have the best gluten-free bread we have ever tasted. We buy at Costco in Seaside, CA. A few days ago we stopped in to buy the bread and could not locate any. We were told that indeed the computer reported there being 400 loaves in stock. Could not find any! Went back the next day, thinking they may have restocked the shelves and were able to find 8 loaves. We bought all of them knowing the wonderful shelf life would ensure freshness until eaten. I hope this incident does not mean our Costco is thinking of not carrying it any more. We would be devastated! I would love to see the cinnamon raisin variety there too, plus the white variety. We do try to eat whole grain as much a possible but this is our only transgression! (not really, ;o)
Thanks so much for providing this gluten-free product. Although we have not been diagnosed with gluten intolerance, hypothyroidism is considered by some to be a condition that benefits from gluten-avoidance. Who knows!? We will eat the bread for its’ wonderful texture and taste anyway. Thanks for the great product!
Your bread sounds very interesting and I’d like to try it, but I have not been able to find any nutrition facts about your bread…how many grams of protein and fiber, sugar, sodium, etc. Is it possible to get this information online? Thank you.
We are about to launch a brand new website that will have all of our product ingredients and nutritionals available to our customers. Our gluten free Super Seeded Multigrain has 100 calories, 15g carbs, 5g fiber, 2g protein, 5g fat per slice.
We purchased your bread from Costco a few days ago. We opened the first package, stored it in the refrigerator and it was great. Two out of three kids enjoyed the new bread. I went to make sandwiches this morning with a new package, but it is moldy! It was stored in our dark pantry, unopened until this morning. The best buy date on the package is July 04, 2014. The number B16 is also on the package. We could return the package to Costco, but we won’t because who wants to bring moldy bread back to the store? We are curious if this was a fluke, a bad batch or something else, but you should know the bread is covered in green mold.
Who would other distributor’s in So Calif besides Costco be? (Trader Joe’s?) I am not a member of Costco – thank you!
Hi Jacki,
So far, we are only at Costco in Southern California. We are very close in launching our new website and will have it available for purchase on-line. That would be a great way for you to get our breads.
Thanks for your message!
Wow…..Last week we just happened upon your “Super Seeded Multi-Grain” Gluten-free Bread at a COSTCO in Maui, HI….WE LOVED IT! I’ve searched for east coast outlets but came up empty… any suggestions for obtaining more of your delightful breads (maybe we can help push COSTCO here in MD? … or shall we nag some of our favorite Organic food suppliers like MOM’S- My Organic Market?) Looking forward to seeing your products on the East Coast 🙂
-Diane
Thanks Diane! We are a Seattle based bakery but Costco carries our breads across the US. It definitely helps for you to ask your retailers to carry our products. You can fill out a customer comment card at your local Costco since they choose which locations to carry which products in. We will also be offering it on our website very soon. Thanks again for your message!
I love love love the Gluten free Multigrain Seeded rolls. I take one every day for lunch to have with my salad or soup. Give it a little heat in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds and it becomes very moist and even more tasty! I will be looking for online shopping soon. WEEEEE!
Thanks
YEAH! We like to make mini pizzas with them as well. We are almost there with the website and hope to launch it in the next few week or so.
recently purchased essential baking gluten free bread at Costco in sun prairie wi. they don’t seem to carry it any more. is there any place I can order there bread on line. would like to try there gluten free raisin bread but cant seem to find it any where. hope there is a place I can order there delicious bread on line. thanks
Hello Curt,
Your Costco could have been sold out at the time of your visit. You can always fill out a customer comment card, saying that you would like to continue buying our product there. We will also be launching a new website soon that will allow you to purchase our gluten free bread on-line.
I have recently developed/discovered allergies to dairy, wheat, and to a small degree corn. As an avid home baker, I love bread and tried a gluten-free mix from my local grocery store. I couldn’t even get thru a slice it was so completely unpalatable.
Thinking my days of eating bread were over, I found your super seeded GF bread at my near-by Costco in California and was thrilled it didn’t include any of the ingredients that I now need to avoid. I’ve never been so happy with a loaf of bread! I toasted up a slice, half with vegan margarine, half with vegan cream cheese…so good with both! I’m looking forward to trying grilled “cheese” with it. Texture and flavor are amazing and I love all the seeds!
I hope my Costco will continue to carry it, and hopefully the other GF varieties also. Otherwise, I would likely order directly to continue to eat this great bread!
Thank you!!
Thanks Sarah for taking the time to send us a message. It’s great to hear that you are able to eat our gluten free bread and that your are enjoying it. If you would like to continue to purchase it at your local Costco, definitely let them know as they determine which stores they keep it. We are also getting ready to launch a new website that will allow you to purchase it online and have it sent directly to your home. We will post about it on our website, Facebook, and Twitter once we are ready to launch.
I agree with others, that it is absolutely delicious to eat NON-CARDBOARD gluten free bread. I am extremely thankful that I found your SuperSeeded Bread in my Costco here in SoCal. However I would like to be able to purchase your other gluten free products. Any plans for expanding your retail to SOCAL?
Thanks Nanc! We are hoping to launch a new website soon that will allow you to order our gluten free products on-line.
Costco is not handling your bread in Tucson, AZ is there anywhere in Tucson I can buy it. Thanks judy
Costco is currently the only store locations in Arizona that you can find our products. You can try filling out a customer request at your local Costco, asking them to carry our products. You’ll soon be able to order some of our products on our website.
Costco in Tucson does carry our bread. It’s quite possible that it was sold out when you were in last. You can always fill out a customer comment card saying that you would like to purchase our bread at your location. Thanks for writing!
Just picked up a 2-pack of Super Seed at our Costco in Tucson, AZ. LOVE IT! Toasted up a couple of slices and reveled in the flavors…special endings at the crust.
Been GF for 12 years. Have gone from the cardboard-bread days through various iterations and, while seriously improved flavor-wise, they have been mostly light and fluffy. I’ve missed my “heavy breads”.
Can’t wait to try your Cinnamon Raisin, if and when Costco carries it.
Thank you so much for your willingness to establish a dedicated bakery AND for your non-GMO efforts! Keep up the good work and look forward to visiting your cafes when I make it to the NW.
Thanks so much CJ for letting us know what you think of our bread! We’re so pleased to hear that you are enjoying it. Definitely visit our cafes the next time you are in the Northwest!
Just purchased my third bag of Super Seeded Multigrain from Costco in Grafton, Wisconsin. Love it!! This is the best GF bread I’ve ever had. Hope to see the other varieties soon.
I found your multigrain gluten free bread at Costco in Lodi, CA and am delighted with the taste. In checking your website I am soooo pleased to find that you are committed to Non-GMO- why are you not putting this on the label??
Love, Love, Love the gluten free bread. Thank you! Finally I can stop baking or trying out recipes that are not nearly as good. I purchased it at Costco/Austin, TX a little over two weeks ago, but was disappointed that I could not find any in stock a few days ago. I hope Costco will be carrying it consistently? Please say yes! How do I get Costco here in TX to carry it all the time?
Thank you Jo! We are so pleased to hear that you found us in Austin! It sounds like your store maybe was sold out the last time you were there. They should continue to have it available. It always helps to fill out a customer comment at your local store to let them know that you would like to continue to buy it there. Thanks for your support!
On a Christmas trip to my girlfriends place in Grand Rapids, MI., she surprised me with a double loaf bag of your Super-Seeded MultiGrain Bread from Costco. WOW! That’s the only word I could get out of my mouth because it was quickly stuffed with mouthful after mouthful of sammich!! The first REAL sammich I have had in YEARS!! I’ve eaten the dust they call “bread” because I longed for a sandwich, but could’ve cried. It was awful and ruined the rest of the goodies that I tried to flavor it with. With your bread…I piled on fresh sliced carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, tomatoes, snap pea bits, and a fried egg. (Yes, I know. CRAZY!) But even though it was piled SO HIGH, the bread stayed intact and was the most INSANELY, DROOLINGLY, ORGASMIC sammich experience I have had since discovering I have Celiac Disease about 4 years ago. (My GF was rolling with laughter at me!!) When I want a sammich, I want a SAMMICH…not a Sandwich! You DID it!
Now, I live outside of Minneapolis. We have Costco’s here, but I am pretty sure not any of the other stores, and I am not a member of Costco. We have Cub (a subsidiary? of SuperValu) and Rainbow Foods. (And Walmart and Sam’s Club. Ugh!). I would like to just order online and have it shipped. How is the process going for getting that up and running? (Although I must admit, going to my GF’s in MI. is going to be just that much more FUN with such a treat in store! LOL!) Like others’ve said, would LOVE to see you expand your lineup. And thank you SO MUCH for using a dedicated kitchen, and going non-GMO!!! Oh yeah, I am also allergic to dairy. And, I’m 55 years old.
Oh my goodness Nick, thank you so much for your enthusiastic response! We LOVE hearing that our efforts are bringing you such joy! We’ll keep doing what we are doing to assure that you will have many, many piled high “sammiches” for years to come! We are taste testing new possibilities and working on the ability to sell our gluten free products on our website, so stay tuned.
I live in Kerrville, TX but am 65 miles from San Antonio, TX and today (January 7, 2014) purchased a 2-loaf package of your multiseed GF bread (my San Antonio store is on USTA Blvd). Impressed. Very Good. You’ve outdone yourselves here with this bread. Wouldn’t it be wonderful (just wonderful) if you decided to make hamburger buns (then I wouldn’t have to make them myself). Thanks for your superior GF bread and also that Costco all the way here in South Texas carried it. Hope they always will. Wish our grocery store (in Kerrville) which is HEB (and they have a monopoly here in Kerrville since it’s either awful Walmart or HEB) would carry it. I’ll ask but I don’t hold out hope as they don’t take my suggestions too happily on what they should carry in the GF line. I do love the bread and maybe someday Costco will carry the Cinnamon/Raisin bread (my favorite bread which I’ve missed terribly). Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much Tiffany! We’re pleased to hear that you’ve found us. I’ve happy to report that we do make gluten free hamburger buns and that very soon will be making them available for purchase on our new website. http://essentialbaking.com/ebc_product/gluten-free-original-hamburger-buns/
You can always fill out a customer comment card at Costco to let them know that you would like to continue to purchase our products and if you would like to see other varieties. Thanks for taking the time to let us know what you think!
I am celiac and find it difficult to find quality good tasting gluten free bread. Your super seeded multi-grain bread is the real deal and at a bargain price. Your packaging process allowing for extended shelf storage is a real plus. I purchased your bread at a Costco store in south Orange County, Ca. Your bread is excellent and heads above other brands that are gluten free.
Thank you so much William! Your comment really expresses the overall goal we are trying to achieve with this product. We want this bread to be a tasty and accessible solution for people with celiac, allergies, sensitivities and for the people who desire to safely serve them food. We appreciate hearing from you.
I, like others who have commented, was delighted to find your gluten-free bread at Costco. I found it when I was on a shopping visit to the Chicago area, but since I live several hours away from a Costco I am looking forward to being able to order bread directly from a website. My grandchildren love it and I don’t have to bake for them so often. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much Grandma Carol! We love hearing this!
Best bread ever. Both my kids (8 & 11) and I have Celiac and bread has been tough. More so on me since I know what real bread can be. I’m a little nervous that they like it so much as so many GF things we love disappear. Please stay around. Oh yea, I’ll be looking for your seeded white and cinnamon breads to try.
Thanks
Just picked up a couple of loaves of Super Seeded GF!!!!!!!! OHHHHHH MY!!! What a treat!!!
As I reside in AZ, and went GF after leaving Seattle!! I was just thrilled to find you had begun to offer yummy GF breads, and that I can now purchase them here in AZ. Keep up the good work…… what other GF goodies are being sold through Costco here in AZ?
Hi Kai-Ocean,
We’re so glad to hear that you’ve discovered us! Currently just our Super Seeded Gluten Free bread is available at Costco in AZ. We are also working on a new website where our gluten free products will be available on-line. Thanks for writing!
!
Kendra,
Could I make a small suggestion regarding the loaf and the vacuum packaging?
I noticed my loaf was concave on the bottom. It was more than slight. Could this be from the packaging or is it the way your loaves come out of the ovens?
It did rather inhibit my ability to make a “full” sandwich that didn’t have lots of goodies hanging out. I do enjoy the rustic aspect of the bread.
Before leaving Seattle, I was a regular customer!! So I’m happy to enjoy again, and look forward to trying the buns!! and the other GF breads.
Hi Kai-Ocean,
We’re so happy to hear that you found us in AZ! How neat that you used to live here so you knew about us.
While our loves may vary due to the very nature of baking, especially gluten free, your bread shouldn’t be concave at the bottom. Sorry about that. Could you please send me your address to the e-mail address linked here and we’ll send you a new loaf. Thanks!
I found my local cafe offering your gluten-free breads and I was very excited to see something other than Rudi’s, Udi’s or TJ’s rice bread which gets very boring after awhile. Are you selling it anywhere in Los Angeles or Southern California? Cosco? I can ask my local Whole Foods to order it…they are very receptive to suggestions. I can always ask the cafe to order a loaf to sell me if it’s not retail here yet. Love to find out…
Hi Dawna,
Our gluten free bread is being sold at Southern California Costco locations. Whole Foods in the Pacific Northwest does sell it, so you could try talking to your local Whole Foods and requesting it. We are also working on getting it available for purchase on our website at the start of the new year. Thanks for writing!
I saw your bread at costco and was really excited! I’ve been gluten free for at least five years and get my bread from Trader Joes because it’s cost effective, however it’s nice to eat something different once in awhile. I think it’s very tasty just too sweet, I really try to watch how much sugar my family gets and I think 8 grams for one sandwich is just to much. If you just sweeten it with pear juice and or raisin juice you don’t have to add sugar.
Thanks
Hi Melissa, thanks for your message and we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Yes, we do use pear juice and plum puree in our gluten free bread as well. Each slice contains 5 grams of fiber and 10 net carbs a slice.
I was just diagnosed with celiac a few weeks ago. I tried your bread when I found it at Costco and it’s the best GF I have tasted so far! Do you think you could supply your bread to airlines? I flew on Delta and the GF bread they threw at me tasted like cardboard. Any marketing to them (Delta, specifically)?
Thank you Carol! We love hearing that! Marketing to airlines is a great suggestion. I’ve shared this with the rest of my team.
A friend brought me a frozen double loaf package of your Super Seeded Gluten Free bread last month. It was left at her house by some visitors. I do not know if they brought the bread with them from out of state or where it came from. But I have been eating it, one sandwich at a time, all month long. It is wonderful! I have been a diagnosed Celiac for 26 years. I have tried all breads available over the years and basically I have done without. Now that GF is a fad of sorts, there are lots of GF brownies, cookies, muffins, etc that are avail and pretty tasty, but not so much with breads. Yours is by far the best. I love all of the seeds, it holds together in a sandwich that is overstuffed (a real test – most gluten free breads crumble), and is is not white! It is very flavorful! It holds up well to toasting, doesn’t burn and I love it. But now I am down to my last three slices (I have been defrosting two slices at a time) and I would like to know where I can get your GF breads near Monterey, California.
Thanks much!
Kathryn,
Thank you to your friend for bringing you our bread! We really appreciate that! You can find a 2-pack of our Gluten Free Super Seeded Multigrain bread in Costco locations near you. We’re so glad you are enjoying it!
Thank you for the shipment of replacement Gluten-Free Products. All arrived in good condition, and what I’ve used so far has been delicious. Where criticism has been made, a good resolution should also be promoted. Your customer service department went above and beyond the call of duty. I bought another monthly supply of your SuperSeeded Bread at Costco this month. Thank you!
We’re glad to hear that you received and are enjoying the shipment we sent you! Thanks for letting us know!
Shopping at costco monthly in Vancouver,Wa we spotted your gluten free bread the super seeded multi-grain we bought a package to try My husband is gluten intolorant and we have tried many many breads and he has made many but this bread is super Have you tried making hamburger buns The bread is the greatest and will get more We live in Baker City, Oregon and when we make another trip to Vancouver we will buy several packages Thank you so much Suzen
I have great news Jack, we have them! We carry them at our cafes and at PCC Markets and Fred Meyer locations. We are working on a website where we will be able to eventually sell them on-line as well. http://bit.ly/15U3tq2
We’re so glad to hear that you are enjoying the bread!
We were recently visiting family in Washington and found your GF Super Seeded Multi-Grain bread at Costco. We LOVE it!! So tasty and good. However, it isn’t offered at our Costco in Scottsdale, AZ. Any chance we can get it here or is it sold at any of our local grocery stores, such as AJ’s or Whole Foods? Please advise. Thanks so much!!
Hi Terri, thanks for sending us a message. Costco orders the bread from us and decides where it’s carried, so the best thing to do would be to fill out a comment card at your local Costco or on-line asking for The Essential Baking Company’s Gluten Free Super Seeded Multigrain Bread to be carried at your local store.
I eagerly bought your Super Seeded bread at Costco yesterday. However, the crust and seeds are burnt and the entire bread is dry as sand. I’m quite disappointed.
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that you got a burnt loaf. We are happy to take it back at any of our café locations for a new, not burnt loaf.
I found your Super Seeded bread at Costco – it is fabulous! I wish the size of the loaf was a little larger. I like to use larger slices of bread for sandwiches. It freezes beautifully and once defrosted is as soft and perfect as when opened straight from the store. I love that it has such healthy ingredients like all of those seeds! Are you experimenting with gluten free croissants and brioche? How amazing it would be to have a great gluten free croissant!
Love the Super Seeded Multi-Grain! Found it in my local Colorado Springs, CO & Parker CO Costco.
I hope to see the other GF breads you have in our CO Costco stores as well. Have you considered the military comissary stores? That would be awesome. Many times we are stationed where there are few options for GF, etc.. We are WA residents that are on active duty. Anytime we see something from the PNW we get super excited! Thanks for the good bread!
I I love I love your SuperSeeded Bread, because I am wheat-intolerant. I buy 4 double packages of your bread during our monthly supply trips to Costco in Helena or Missoula, MT, to ensure I have good bread throughout the month. Unfortunately, 5 out of 6 loaves in the final 3 packages from my July provisions proved shrunken and moldy, in spite of being stored in unopened packages in a dark cabinet. I attempted to contact you by e-mail; however, the link to this form of communication is broken. I am sure that this situation will be resolved equitably. I look forward to finding your other gluten-free bread products in the future, because their flavor and quality are the best I’ve found. Thank you!
Hi Michelle,
I’ve sent you a private message in e-mail but haven’t heard back from you yet. Please respond so we can help you out. Thanks!
II have not received an e-mail from your company; however, I received a notice of the reply post to my comment. Please try again; I will be looking for it. Thanks! MLS
I also replied to the link and was not responded to.

I just bought your super seeded bread from Costco here in the Central Valley of California. It is the best tasting bread I have had yet, and I have tried them all. It reminds me of a seeded variety of whole wheat bread which I haven’t had in years. I love not having to store it in the freezer as well because there was always a battle to break free just one slice. Thanks to Costco for carrying your bread and I hope they continue to do so.
Thanks for letting us know that you found Super Seeded Multigrain in the Central Valley of California. It recently became available at Costco locations in Northern California. If you’d like to continue to buy it there, it’s always a good idea to fill out a comment card the next time you are shopping at Costco to let them know.
I live in a rural area of Utah. We travel 2 1/2 hrs to American Fork, where I can purchase your wonderful gluten free bread. It was a super hot day and we had other errands to do and family to see. When we arrived back at our home, I noticed that all 4 loaves we had purchased have condensation inside the packaging. I’m concerned this will compromise the bread. what should I do, and how can I prevent this in the future? Thanks so much!
Hi Patricia,
The condensation that develops, when the package gets some sun, is nothing to worry about and doesn’t hurt the bread at all. Simply let it sit in your pantry or other room temperature place and the moisture will go back into the bread because the bag is air tight.
I think it should be used sooner than later, as we had two loaves in the freezer for 2 weeks and they had mold.
Hi Shel,
If the package is unopened, there shouldn’t be mold, unless the package has been accidently punctured, which can happen accidently. If you see mold in an unopened package, let us know so we can send you a new one.
Once opened, we recommend storing the bread in it’s plastic bag in the fridge (or freezer if you don’t plan to eat it within the week). The unopened package can be stored in your pantry.
Any chance of your products being sold in Canadian Costcos or anywhere else in Canada anytime soon? A friend brought some of your gluten-free bread back from a trip to the States and I am in love with it!
Were working on it. We will keep you posted on our blog, Facebook and Twitter.
I really enjoy your par baked organic rosemary bread and your gluten-free super seeded bread, found them at the Bellingham Costco.
As for your gluten-free bread do you have any plans to make it using organic ingredients?
Hi Shel,
We’re so glad you found our breads at Costco. Our organic rosemary bread is made at our Certified Organic bakery. Our gluten free breads are made in a separate dedicated gluten, dairy, soy, and nut free facility to keep our customers with allergies safe. We use organic ingredients when possible, always non-GMO. We are looking into getting the No-GMO certification so we can add that to our packaging. We continue to explore different ingredients for our gluten free bread.
Thank you for responding.
I look forward to seeing your other products at local stores in Bellingham like Fred Meyer and Costco.
I love your commitment to non-GMO, organic bread and am hoping that you are planning to expand your GF line to include breads not made with rice flours. Every bread made with rice flours which I have tried taste like paste to me – or at least what I imagine it would taste like as I was not a paste-eater in kindergarten! 🙂
Have your bakers ever tried a mixture of Sweet White Sorghum Flour, Potato Starch, and Tapioca Flour? I’ve heard that can be quite tasty but haven’t found the recipe yet.
I was excited to see your bread at the Costco in Burlington, WA and am hoping that you will be expanding your gluten-free line to breads made with other flours.
Thank you!
Hi Diana,
You should definitely give our Super Seeded Multigrain bread a try. It doesn’t taste like paste. 🙂 We do continue to experiment with our gluten free line. It’s not favorable to use potato flour for people with Celiac as potatoes are in the night shade family, which many with Celiac have issue with as well. Sorghum is a great flour but many also have issue with it. Whole grain rice flours seem to be the least offensive for most people with grain issues.
I discovered your wonderful gf super seeded bread at my local COSTCO and promptly purchased 4 loaves which I used while traveling this past month. Could not locate it anywhere in California and returned to learn that COSTCOs here in Oregon have deleted it from their stock! I am so frustrated as this is the first ever bread that has been worth eating since my diagnosis and I had thought I was finally going to be able to eat bread again. The sandwiches I’ve enjoyed this past month have made it all the more frustrating to know that I cannot now obtain this bread again. I see that I “Might” be able to locate it at some places a few miles from me so will have to keep working in trying to locate another source. What happened with COSTCO anyway? They only carried it here for about a month!
We have great news for you Ruth! All Northwest Costco locations will have our gluten free bread back in stock on May 18th! That means your local Costco. If you live by Fred Meyer, they have it as well. Thank you for your loyalty and love for this product!
I purchased you Super Seeded bread at the Spokane Valley Costco and love it but was told it has been discontinued. Is there some way to ge all three gluten free breads in the Spokane Area? Or maybe have it shipped here from one of you retail outlets?
All costcos in the Northwest region will have Gluten Free Super Seeded Bread by May 18th! (It was June 15th).
You can find all our gluten free varieties in Fred Meyer stores!
Hooooray!! I ended up finally finding it at our Fred Meyer (They were in a weird spot no where near any of the other GF products, no signage or anything) but am so super stoked to be able to start getting it at Costco again sooner rather than later!
It has been 5 years since my husband has had to be gluten-free. We have tried so many gf breads and most we have just thrown away because they are hard, dry and tasteless! But your super seeded bread has won him over. Unfortunately, our Costco in Federal Way is not carrying it anymore. Too bad for them! We will search until we find another store that does!
We are so happy to hear that your husband likes our Gluten Free Super Seeded Bread! You can get it at Fred Meyer, PCC, Whole Foods, Metropolitan Markets and at our Essential Baking Company Cafes (Wallingford, Madison, Georgetown, and Bellevue). Federal Way Costco will get it back in stock by June 15th. It doesn’t hurt to call ahead since it’s been selling out quickly.
Essential has always come through as contributors to homeless meal programs in Seattle.. they are the best. My wife has a gluten issue and this is the answer to my requests and prayers. The quality of all of their products is top notch. My favorite is the Pain du George (named after George DePasquale).
I was introduced to your Super-Seeded bread when I visited Anchorage, Ak. It is delicious and the first GF bread I have liked. My daughter got it at Costco. Is it sold anywhere except the West coast? I live in Nashville, Tn. We have Cosatco and Whole Foods here.
Hi Theola, thanks for inquiring about our gluten free bread. It is currently only sold in Pacific Northwest – Costco, Fred Meyer, Whole Foods, and PCC. If we are able to offer it on-line in the future, our website, Facebook or Twitter page is where we will announce that. Thanks for letting us know that you enjoyed it!
I must tell you that I am SO pleased to find a gluten free bread at Costco, SLC! LOVE the way the packages are sealed! I came to this site because I also needed to know if you are also GMO free. (My app, fooducate, could not tell me this.) Thank you for being GMO free as well. ( I believe gluten intolerance is a direct effect of GMO’s. ) You’ve just earned a new customer!
Thank you Deborah! We are so glad you like our gluten free bread and to have you as a new customer! Let us know if you have any other questions.
A few weeks ago I came across your gluten free bread I was a bit hesitant in trying it ist as I normally bake my own as I have tried many and was very dissaappointed with the tastes and texture until recently when I shopped at Costco and tried your gluten free bread. I was very excited of the taste and texture. Tonight I went to buy more at Costco and found out they no longer carry it. I was very dissaappointed as I have heard of many liking it. I went and enquired about the gluten free bread and was told they deleted it. Can you please tell me where I can buy the bread. I live near the Costco in Tigard. Thank you hoping I can continue to buy the bread, Emma
Hi Emma, thanks for your message. We are thrilled that you like our Gluten-Free bread! We’re so sorry that you weren’t able to find it. It sounds like Costco Tigard may be currently out of their inventory. Fear not, we are planning on expanding again into that specific Costco within the next couple of months. The good news is that you can find all three of our breads at your local Tigard Fred Meyer. Thank you for reaching out and let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.
Bought your bread at our Costco in American Fork, Utah. We love it. It is soft and non-grainy. We have been gluten free for 3 years and this is the best bread we’ve found. Our Costco only carried the multigrain. How can I get my hands on the cinnamon raisin kind? Does Costco usually carry all three varieties? Thank you for a great product.
Glad to hear you like it. Right now Costco carries just our Super Seeded Multigrain variety. At this point, Seeded Cinnmon Raisin and Sunny Seeded White are available at our Essential Baking Cafes, PCC, Metropolitain Market, Fred Meyer and other fine stores that carry our products in the Seattle area.
Love your cinnamon raisin bread but wish your bakers could bake it for a slightly shorter time because with just a little toasting the crust burns. Also wish you could use a little less seeds in your GF bread because a lot of celiac’s have GI and IBS issues. But so glad the GF bread choices are much better than when I was diagnosed celiac 11 yrs. ago.
Thanks for listening.
Hi Roberta, thanks for your note. I’ve passed it on to our baker. The seeds provide a great amount of protein and fiber and we use seeds that are not common allergens. We don’t use sesame seeds for that reason.
Love love love this bread! THANK YOU for making a gluten free bread that actually tastes like regular bread! I will never go back to anything else. I have only tried the super seed so far, but I am sure the others are delightful as well. Can’t wait to make French toast with the cinnamon kind – yum! Thanks again!
You are so welcome! We LOVE hearing this. Thanks for taking the time to write to us. Yes, we think our gluten free bread tastes just as good as its wheat counterpart. French toast with Cinnamon Raisin is terrific. Here’s the link to our French Toast recipe on our blog: http://bit.ly/VQWtB6. Enjoy!
We found your SuperSeeded Multi-Grain bread at Costco, Bellingham. It is by far the nicest tasting gluten free bread we have found to date. It is terrific news that more companies are joining in to provide gluten free baked goods for all to enjoy. Also good to see so many more choices being made available to those that no longer eating wheat products. Thank you so much!
Marcie
We’re so glad to hear you found it and are enjoying it! Yes, Costco will continue to carry it. If you don’t see it, ask for it. Often it is simply in a different location or sold out.
I inquired today at my local Costco (Federal Way, WA) after not seeing your bread for a couple weeks and was told that they have deleted it from their system and have stopped carrying it. I’m full-on heartbroken as this was a daily staple for my celiac husband’s lunches, and we were buying 6-8 loaves monthly. Have all Costco’s stopped carrying it, or just mine?
We’re sorry that you were unable to find it. The good news is that it will be back Pacific Northwest Costcos by June 15th, probably earlier in some locations. You can find it in stock now the Seattle Costco (4th Ave), Tacoma, Puyallup.
You can also get our Gluten Free Super Seeded Bread at Fred Meyer, PCC, Whole Foods and Met Market locations near you.
Our Gluten Free Super Seeded Bread is selling out quickly, so we recommend calling to make sure it’s there a head of time.
Hi I picked some up in October so it back!!
Love your multi grain gluten free bread! It is by far the best gf bread we have tried. Thank you! I purchased it at Costco/Shoreline a little over a week ago, but at quick glance, didn’t notice any in stock a few days ago. I hope Costo will be carrying it consistently? Please say yes!
Hello Jeanne, we are so glad to hear you discovered our gluten free breads. Unfortunately, they aren’t currently available in Austin TX. There is potential thanks to it’s stay fresh packaging, which keeps the unopened bread fresh longer. We’ll continue to post updates on our blog, Facebook and Twitter where you can purchase it. Thanks for writting us!
Thanks for providing such a very nice loaf of bread! I have only tried the Brown Pkg and was glad to see from this sight that you have two others available. Hopefully my Costco will get them in soon!
I do hope you can tell me what is the “modified cellulose” and why it is in there. I am not happy with the GMO problems and hope there are no Genetically Modified foodstuffs in your bread. Thanks in advance for your reply!
P.S.Will you be coming out with an “certified organic” product?
Hi Theresa!
We’re so glad you enjoy the bread. We worked really hard to make sure it was the best tasting gluten-free bread in the market! Good News: All of our Gluten-Free bread is Non-GMO! 🙂 The Modified Cellulose is from green plants and is used as a stabilizer in our breads.
Hope that helps. Let us know what you think of the Cinnamon-Raisin and the White. (The cinnamon-raisin is delish as french toast!)
My wife is celiac and we have been a gluten free household for the past 8 years. Before we went gluten free, Essential was our go to bakery. Unfortunately we found the gluten free Super Seeded Multi Grain quite unpleasant. We came home with a loaf and popped a couple of slices in the toaster. It did not smell good and had a worst taste, the texture/mouth feel got worse the more we chewed. Neither of us ate more than one bite. Needless to say we won’t be buying this again.
We have quite a bit of experience with the GF breads available in the Seattle area and even bake our own multigrain GF bread. There are choices better than this.
Joe
We are so sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy our gluten free bread. We are working hard to get it just right so it’s good for us to get feedback so we can continue to improve. We also have Sunny Seeded White and Seeded Cinnamon Raisin that may better suit your taste.
This bread is excellent!!! I bought it at Costco in Culver City last week, opened a package today, toasted two slices (and it did smell good…old crumbs in toaster could be your problem) made a sandwich with sharp cheddar, Genoa salami and mustard and it was DELICIOUS. Hope to see more products in the LA area soon. I am always grateful for a gluten free bread that holds up. This bread is dense and tasty. No fluff and crumbling. Thanks for making a good product.
Thank you Nancy! We’re so glad to hear that you are enjoying it!
I totally disagree. I too have tried them all and this is delicious. Grilled cheese sandwiches and you can’t even tell the difference! I like it best toasted. Yum!! I bought it at Costco in Minnesota and hope and pray that they continue to sell it. I haven’t seen it anywhere else in the Minneapolis area.
Most importantly though, I am so grateful and impressed by their commitment to providing products that do not contain genetically modified ingredients. Hard to find when eating gluten-free as corn is normally a top ingredient. This is the most important element to my family’s diet. Thank you, thank you for being GMO free!
Pleasssse keep selling your multigrain seeded bread at costco and keep up the good work! Yum! 🙂
Thank you, thank you Elizabeth! We love hearing from you and we will keep doing what we are doing! We are always doing taste tests on other possibly varieties. Costco is great about listening to customer comments, so you can always fill one out next time you are in the store to let them know that you would like to continue to purchase our bread there. Thanks for letting us know what you think!
Hi:
My husband and I have just purchased your awesome gluten free bread from our Costco Store on the eastside of Vancouver, WA. We both have gluten issues and this is the best gluten free bread we have found and we have tried them all!!! It is just incredible and we hope and pray that you will continue to have available in Vancouver. We have not found the bread at the Vancouver Whole Foods store and hope that they and maybe New Seasons Market will start to carry as well as Costco.
We both thank you for making this wonderful gluten free bread and have already told many about it as well.
Have a wonderful day and week.
Cheers,
Shirley

We currently don’t sell our bread in Canada. We are working on a website where we will be able to sell it on-line and will look into our options for shipping to Canada.
